As our crews work on the green areas of the fort, I wanted to give you guys a little update on the cannon conservation project! 

The cannons were unharmed during the passing of the hurricane and now they are ready to continue the conservation process. These couple of weeks we've been working on the Ballista (one of the bronze cannons in El Morro), by coating it with clear lacquer so that its protected from the weather and brine of the environment.

This process will take another week or so to complete and then we'll be ready to move the Ballista back to the fort.
